AIR
CLEANING TECHNOLOGY Sells standard style cartridge dust collectors that are continuous duty dust collectors. In other words the cartridges are automatically cleaned on line insuring that airflow is not hindered by blinded filters.
Basic Design of Dust Collector
Cartridge dust collector is simple; dirty air enters the dust collector above the filters and is directed downward through the collector forcing the heavier particulate to fall into the collection hopper beneath the filters. The high efficiency cartridge filters collect the fine particulate and the clean filtered air is exhausted through the clean air plenum on the rear of the dust collector.
Working Cartridge Dust Collector
Cartridge filters are cleaned on line. Either a timer or photohelic (pressure differential) gauge initiates the cleaning. When this happens compressed air is pulsed into a specially designed aluminum rotating tube with pre-drilled holes. As the compressed air enters this tube, the force of the pulse causes the tube to rotate. While spinning the air exits the pre-drilled holes, pulsing the dirt particles away from the filter. The result is that air hits the entire inside of the cartridge dust collector, pulsing dirt particles away from the filter for a much more quit and efficient cleaning cycle.
Filter cleaning is also accomplished off line. Our cartridge dust collectors are programmed to initiate several filter cleaning cycles once the system has been turned off. This down time cleaning further improves the life of the collection cartridge and decreases maintenance time and expense.
Maintenance of Cartridge Dust Collector
Cartridge dust collection system is installed maintenance is very simple. The collection drum must be emptied when full and the cartridges will require replacement about once a year (2000 hours of operation).
